Here at Waee Digital we respect the rights of all our users worldwide, and we expect them to also demonstrate that respect to other users and to assist us in creating a beneficial and positive atmosphere for all Waee Digital users.
Copyright can be a confusing territory for many people. Simply put: just about anything on the web is likely copyrighted by someone - including content submitted to any Waee Digital website by users. This is important to consider, as the copyright for something you post may be owned by someone else.
In the points below, we will attempt to eliminate some of the confusion and counter many of the myths surrounding copyright and to present clearly the Waee Digital policy and practices with regard to copyright. The availability of this document should not be construed as rendering legal or other professional advice, and this document is not a substitute for the advice of a solicitor. If you require legal advice, you should seek the services of a qualified solicitor.
Copyright infringement occurs when you attempt to use someone else's work without their explicit permission.
To avoid infringing on the rights of another creative person, use your own skill and imagination to post original ideas and content. Ensure that all aspects of your work are your original creations. If you've used materials which are owned by other people or companies, make sure that you have obtained their permission or licensing for the use of it (and retained this proof in-case your content is queried for copyright).
If you submit copyrighted work to any Waee Digital website, when the proper proof is submitted, your content will be removed immediately. You won't receive an opportunity to remove the copyrighted work. If you believe that your content has been removed falsely, then please contact us at email@example.com.
If you are found to repeatedly post content that infringes copyright, your account will be deleted. The general consensus is that after 3 warnings, your account will be permanently deleted. The copyright owner may also decide to sue you directly if you infringe his/her copyright.
Even after taking down your work, you are still liable to damages caused to the copyright owner. Although after deletion, content is removed permanently from our servers; so no assistance can be given to copyright owners on our part after content deletion.
For a copyright claim to be considered, you must follow the guidelines set out in our Terms & Conditions (5. Reporting Copyright Violations).
